VP of Product
VP of Product @ Tilt
Tilt (check us out here) is looking for a VP of Product to join our team and help us scale our business by owning product vision, strategy and execution, ensuring Tilt continues to deliver solutions that scale. This role is about execution at pace: leading teams that move quickly from insight to impact and bringing product ideas to life in measurable ways. You’ll partner closely with Engineering leadership to align product direction with our technical architecture, balancing innovation, scalability, and reliability as we grow. You’ll drive how we turn empathy into scalable software, translating our mission into an operationally excellent, data-driven, and customer-obsessed product. This position is a full-time role reporting to the CEO. We want you to be successful here at Tilt! Responsibilities will include:
- Define and operationalize a long-term product strategy that scales with Tilt’s customer segments, partnerships, and platform evolution.
- Translate strategic goals into a measurable roadmap that connects customer outcomes to business growth.
- Drive ownership of end-to-end customer journey mapping that bridges the HR buyer and employee on leave experiences.
- Build frameworks for prioritization, experimentation, and learning that allow the team to balance delivery with innovation.
- Lead the definition of complex workflows and translate them into streamlined, high-impact user experiences that deliver value for HR and employees on leave.
- Design a scalable product operating system and roadmap cadences to decision frameworks and release processes.
- Coach and grow a product team that’s empowered, aligned, and equipped to execute against the company's strategic priorities and in collaboration with other teams autonomously.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration between Product, Design, Engineering, Customer Success, and GTM teams to deliver integrated, high-impact outcomes.
- Establish a strong analytics and insights foundation, connecting customer feedback, usage data, and financial metrics into actionable decision loops.
- Partner with Finance to define product success metrics that tie to retention, growth, and margin.
- Leverage AI and automation to enhance both internal efficiency and customer-facing experiences partnering with Engineering to prototype, evaluate, and responsibly deploy AI-driven capabilities.
- Establish product frameworks that balance innovation and compliance when introducing AI/ML features in a regulated environment.
- Champion customer empathy at scale ensuring Tilt’s product experience remains human, compliant, and intuitive even as complexity grows.
- Build a culture of continuous learning through structured customer discovery, experimentation, and market demand testing that drives confident, data-informed product decisions.
- Partner with the executive team to align product investment with company growth plans and multi-year financial targets.
- Collaborate with Finance on product budgets, ROI models, and resource planning to support sustainable scale.
- Drive operational rigor through documentation, process design, and tool selection that support distributed teams.
You’re a great fit if:
- You have held the role of a VP of Product or equivalent and scaled a product from early stage to mid-market or enterprise evolving structure, process, and people along the way.
- You have deep experience leading cross-functional product organizations (PM, Design, Research) with a clear philosophy on how to structure for scale.
- You’ve built data-driven roadmaps tied to business outcomes and can balance short-term delivery with long-term vision.
- You thrive in ambiguous, high-growth environments and know how to bring clarity through systems and communication.
- You’ve successfully influenced executive and board-level decisions with a strong combination of storytelling, insight, and strategy.
- You’ve applied AI or ML for leveraging data, automation, or predictive insights to enhance user experience, operational efficiency, or decision-making.
- You’re fluent in how AI can be used responsibly and ethically within people-focused products, balancing human-centered design with automation.
- You have high levels of empathy and can connect deeply with Tilt’s mission
- You are a comfortable using a lot of systems at once, and have the ability to learn software quickly
- You are fearlessly flexible and curious; aka you thrive in an environment where we don't have all the answers but are willing to help us figure them out
- You have experience working with a startup and/or with a B2B SaaS business

Total Compensation
The projected annual salary range is $190,000-$220,000 USD plus stock options (ISOs), because we believe everyone should have some stake in our business.
